What Do You Read?

Finishing graduate school has been an amazing boost for my love of reading. I've found that I can pick up something that interests me and read it without feeling guilty for all the other books I "should" be reading. I read a lot of fiction in the months right after graduation ... because I could. But, more recently, I've turned back to other reading, things that challenge or inspire. And, I've been asking my friends for suggestions. What do you read? What's subjects interest you most? Have you read any good biographies lately? Who's your favorite author? Please, share!

I would argue that fiction DOES challenge and inspire. Who cannot say that Chronicles of Narnia is more than just a fantasy story. Also, I'm currently reading Uncle Tom's Cabin and it was one of the most influential books in American History...and its fiction. But I think that school does have the tendancy to make us feel "drained" but learning should be constant because that's what God desires of us.

I recommend reading G. K. Chesterton's biography on Saint Francis or one of the many biographies on Martin Luther.
