Today I heard about someone who heard the Passover story for the very first time.  He came to Christ as an adult, and has been steadily growing in his faith, but he'd never heard the story of Passover and how the Israelites were spared the plague of the death angel because the blood of the sacrificial lamb was painted over their door posts.
The person recounting the story stood in my office, voice and eyes brimming with emotion, and said, "He passed over!  The blood of Christ, God's sacrificial lamb covers me, and God's wrath passes over!"
Oh, that the delight of when we first believed would be so fresh in our hearts each time it is proclaimed.

"On that same night I will pass through Egypt and strike down every firstborn—both men and animals—and I will bring judgment on all the gods of Egypt. I am the LORD.  The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt.
"This is a day you are to commemorate; for the generations to come you shall celebrate it as a festival to the LORD -a lasting ordinance.
